With a redesigned Škoda grille, revised aprons at the front and rear and the expressive design language, the new Scala becomes more distinctive, sophisticated and sporty. Its dynamic appearance is reinforced by slimmed-down headlights, which, for the first time, are available with TOP LED Matrix technology.
The updated Scala gets even more equipment – with all trims now having an eight-inch digital instrument display, upgraded LED lights and dual-zone climate control as standard.
Trims
The new Scala follows a rationalised trim line-up to allow for a simplified customer experience. The lower specified trims have been combined into one to meet customer entry-level requirements, with SE Technology discontinued.
Engines
All 1.0TSI engines have been replaced with the more efficient evo2 generation. The 110PS engines will also see an increase in power to 116PS. The 1.5TSI engines remain unchanged.
Interior features
Similar to the all-electric Enyaq family, the new Loft (SE), Lodge (SE L) and Monte Carlo design selections will be inspired by modern living environments, boasting perfectly coordinated colours and materials. The redesigned covers for the seats, instrument panel and door trim panels also use recycled fabrics along with natural materials.
Škoda will use more sustainable materials than before to further reduce the CO2 footprint in production. Recycled materials for the upholstery, flooring and foot mats are complemented by natural, renewable raw materials. The door trim panels, for example, are partly made of fibres from hemp and kenaf - a type of hibiscus. The headliner also contains a proportion of these fibres for added strength.
The new grille comes with the traditional vertical slats and plays with the alternation of matt and glossy surfaces. The front bumper has also been redesigned: the central air intake is divided by side wings and flanked by more pronounced air curtains. The air intake grille has a mesh-style design and comes with diamond-shaped segments that create a three-dimensional look.
At the rear of the new Scala, the optional extended rear window made of black glass stretches all the way to the tail lights, with a clearly contoured loading sill below.
The redesigned rear apron includes a diffuser framed by two wing elements painted in body colour, mirroring the design of the front apron. The Škoda lettering on the tailgate reflects the new, updated Škoda Corporate Identity.
Options
The new Scala will align with Enyaq, Karoq and Fabia and primarily offer option packages with fewer individual options to provide a simpler customer experience.
