The all-new fully-electric ENYAQ iV was unveiled on Tuesday night (1 September 2020) in Prague.
The ŠKODA ENYAQ iV SUV is the brand’s first series-production vehicle to be based on the Volkswagen Group’s modular electrification toolkit (MEB). The ground-breaking all-electric SUV will be available with two battery size options offered in rear-wheel drive and prices starting from £33,450 excluding the OLEV Plug-in Vehicle Grant (PiVG).
ENYAQ iV introduces a new range structure based around battery sizes rather than traditional trim designations. Customers can choose between two battery pack sizes; 62kWh (60) and 82kWh (80) each with different levels of specification. If they then wish, customers can also change the interior look and feel of their vehicle by selecting one of the new interior design pack upgrades.
ENYAQ iV 60 (from £33,450 excluding PiVG)
The entry-level ENYAQ iV comes with a generous equipment list that includes 19-inch Proteus alloy wheels, 13-inch infotainment system, rear parking sensors, dual-zone climate control and keyless go. All models also feature road sign recognition, ambient interior lighting, multifunction leather steering wheel and front assist as standard. In terms of interior trim, all ENYAQ iV 60 models are equipped with Loft interior design pack as standard. This features fabric/artificial leather seat facings and brushed aluminium decor panels.
ENYAQ iV 80 (from £38,950 excluding PiVG)
Customers choosing the 82kWh battery pack benefit from an increased standard specification that includes chrome detailing, front parking sensors and a rear-view camera. ENYAQ iV 80 models also come with a heated two-spoke leather steering wheel, regen paddles, drive mode selection and infotainment system with navigation. These models also include 19-inch Regulus anthracite alloy wheels and the standard Loft interior design pack with the option to upgrade to one of the alternative packs.
Additional trim levels
In addition to the standard 60 and 80 launch models, we will expand the ENYAQ iV range to include a range-topping Founders Edition coupled with the 82kWh battery. This will feature model-specific interiors and equipment specifications along with a range of single options and option packs. Final specifications and prices for this edition are:
All ENYAQ iV models have a minimum DC rapid charging capability of 50kW as standard. Customers can specify higher 100kW (for 62kWh battery) and 125kW (for 82kWh battery) DC charge rates as options.
The ENYAQ iV offers customers three charging options. In addition to using a standard household 230V socket with 2.3 kW alternating current (AC), it can charged at home overnight using a wall box of up to 7kW. Depending on the battery size, the charging process takes eight to 11 hours. As a third charging option, the vehicle can be connected to rapid DC charging (DC rapid charging capability of 50kW as standard ) points with a charging capacity of up to 125 kW (available as an optional extra). This allows the ENYAQ iV to be charged from 10 to 80 per cent in just 40 minutes.
As part of our ENYAQ iV proposition, we will also offer customers the opportunity to purchase a ŠKODA wall box. The ŠKODA iV Charger Connect+, alongside our installation service, will allow customers to conveniently charge their ENYAQ iV at home. More details on the charging offer will be shared soon.
The entry level 62kWh battery model is equipped with a 180PS (132kW) motor that drives the rear wheels through a single-speed transmission. It has a WLTP range of up to 260 miles on a single charge. The larger 82kWh RWD model generates 204PS (150kW) and is capable of returning up to 310 miles on a single charge (WLTP).
The ENYAQ iV ushers in a new era of ŠKODA interior design. As customers have come to expect from the brand, all ENYAQ iV variants offer state-of-the-art connectivity and infotainment features. The driver is shown all of the relevant information on a free-standing, 13-inch central display and, if desired, a head-up display with augmented reality. A permanent Internet connection guarantees that all information is always up-to-date.
Measuring 4,648 millimetres long and 1,877 wide, the ENYAQ iV SUV delivers the space and practicality customers have come to expect from ŠKODA’s award-winning SUV models. Thanks to its all-electric platform, ŠKODA’s design team has been able to completely reimagine the ENYAQ iV’s interior architecture. With the traction battery housed in the floor and a compact motor mounted beneath the boot floor, the ENYAQ iV cabin offers more space than a traditional internal combustion engine car. The boot can hold 585-litres of luggage.
All prices currently stated and shown on skoda.co.uk exclude the Plug-in Vehicle Grant (PiVG). We are in the process of applying for this grant which will be confirmed before the car opens for ordering later this year, once all technical information has been confirmed. At this point, the prices shown will be reduced by the value of the grant at that time, currently £3,000. Terms and conditions apply, so please refer to www.gov.co.uk for any further information.
At 13 inches, the ENYAQ iV’s central screen is larger than in any other ŠKODA. What’s more, the all-new SUV is always online and cleverly connected. Battery charging and the interior’s air conditioning can be conveniently controlled remotely via the ŠKODA Connect app.
The ENYAQ iV’s design language is emotive, powerful and dynamic. The new SUV is characterised by perfect proportions and extraordinary spaciousness. It offers a similar amount of interior space as a ŠKODA KODIAQ, despite being shorter in length than a ŠKODA OCTAVIA. As optional extras, the illuminated Crystal Face – which comes with an animated Coming/Leaving Home function – and full LED Matrix headlights adorn the striking front sporting the large ŠKODA grille. The full LED tail lights include dynamic indicators and also have an animated Coming/Leaving Home function.
ŠKODA has developed Simply Clever solutions specific to electric vehicles, such as a cleaner for the charging cable, a protective cap for the charging socket and a compartment for the charging cable under the boot floor. The new centre console arranged over two levels provides plenty of space; a clever insert ensures that the false boot floor is neat and tidy. In the ENYAQ iV, the classic ŠKODA ice scraper is located inside the car – in its tailgate to be precise.
The MyŠKODA Powerpass ensures owners can easily and conveniently recharge their vehicles at most of the charging points in the European Union using just a single card. In addition, ŠKODA is also involved in building the Ionity quick-charging network throughout Europe. The brand offers three versions of the ŠKODA iV wall box for at-home charging. Using the fast-charging cable, the owners can recharge their ŠKODA ENYAQ iV at fast-charging stations too.
