New Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace

The all-new Tiguan Allspace is Volkswagen’s first seven-seat SUV. It is 215mm longer than the regular Tiguan, a total of 4,704mm. The wheelbase is 110mm longer and now measures 2,791mm, allowing for significantly more boot space as well as a third row of fold-flat seats. Although available as a five-seat version in some European countries and the USA, the Tiguan Allspace will come with seven seats as standard in the UK.

An extremely spacious car, the Tiguan Allspace offers an extra 60mm of knee room for the rear seat passengers and cargo space of up 1,775 litres with the rear seats folded down. With the third row of seats folded down, the luggage space is 700 litres, which is 85 litres more than the regular Tiguan. Even with the third row of seats in place, there is a handy 230 litres of cargo space on offer.

The Tiguan Allspace has several design features that distinguish it from the regular Tiguan. These include a higher bonnet and radiator grille, a unique contoured roof design and a larger, upward-angled window at the D-pillar.

Trim levels and specification

While the size and exterior design differ from the regular Tiguan, the specification and range line-up are very similar. With a model range starting at the very comprehensively equipped SE Nav trim level, the Tiguan Allspace specification highlights include an electric tailgate on the SE Nav trim and Keyless Entry with electric tailgate operation on the luxurious SEL. The sporty and eye-catching R-Line trim is also available and tops the range for the Allspace.
