The all-new T-Roc Cabriolet joins the Volkswagen family as the brand’s first ever convertible SUV, opening for order on Thursday 30 January 2020.
The T-Roc Cabriolet continues Volkswagen’s SUV offensive and is the newest member of the T-Roc family. A true original, Volkswagen is proud to present the only mainstream convertible SUV. The T-Roc Cabriolet perfectly blends the practicality of an SUV with the exhilarating drive of a convertible. The new T-Roc Cabriolet’s powerful looks give it real presence on the road. The entire structure of the car, from the side panels to the underbody, has been strengthened to give you a solid, dependable drive whether the roof is up or down. LED headlights and tail lights come as standard.
It becomes the first crossover Cabriolet in the compact class and offers the perfect combination of a strikingly extroverted design, raised seating characteristics of an SUV, flexibility and the unique driving experience of a convertible.
The T-Roc Cabriolet follows the soft-top legacy created by the Beetle Cabriolet and Golf Cabriolet. Its standard, fully automatic roof opens in just nine seconds, and is able to open and close whilst the car is in motion up to speeds of 18mph. It locks electromechanically.
Passengers are well-protected in the T-Roc Cabriolet. The car features roll-over protection, which can be extended behind the rear seats. The system springs upwards in the area of the rear headrests within a fraction of a second in response to exceeding a defined lateral acceleration or vehicle tilt. The T-Roc Cabriolet is also designed with a reinforced windscreen frame and other structural modifications in order to ensure maximum safety.
The T-Roc Cabriolet arrives in two trim levels – ‘Design’ and ‘R-Line.’
The new T-Roc cabriolet has a range of eight solid and metallic exterior colours, all with a black canvas roof. Three paints will be exclusive to T-Roc Cabriolet at point of launch:
