Adding further to the already extremely well-specified SEL trim, the R-Line confers a conspicuously sporty quality to the Volkswagen T-Roc. For instance, the SEL’s 18-inch alloy wheels give way to 19-inch alloys. The T-Roc R-Line features lowered suspension too, and plenty of other exciting, grade-specific accoutrements. These include bumpers, expanded black wheel arches, colour-coded side skirts and a rear spoiler, the latter of which, along with the roof, can be specified in a contrasting black tone.
On the inside, the vehicle’s racy attributes continue, with front sports seats, a leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel and R-Line door sill protectors, for example. Infotainment highlights include a 10.3-inch Digital Cockpit Pro display and a Discover Media Navigation system (which includes a six-speaker stereo). Whenever you need to, you can easily access your smartphone via the car’s eight-inch touchscreen, thanks to the inclusion of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The Volkswagen T-Roc R-Line comes with 1.5-litre 148bhp petrol, 2.0-litre 187bhp petrol and 2.0-litre 148bhp diesel engine choices. A six-speed manual gearbox is paired as standard but you have the option to specify seven-speed automatic direct-shift transmission if you prefer.
